GDPR - Data Retention, Right to Know, Right to be Forgotten
Open Seas uses three electronic systems to hold customer related information: a CRM for sales and marketing, a Service Management system for support & helpdesk and a financial accounting system. We also make use of paper files. We retain data for seven years from last use as this is the HMRC requirement for financial information. We apply the same principal to the CRM and Service Management system as customers commonly return having lapsed for a number of years. If we have had no contact with a lapsed customer for 7 years then we will automatically purge all records related to them after seven years. If you would like to know what data Open Seas holds regarding you or would like to request we remove your data sooner please contact email@example.com.
GDPR - Data Protection
Reasonable IT and physical security along with related procedures are employed to protect data Open Seas holds both electronically and physically.
