Secure enterprise messaging
ZedMail protects the confidentiality of data exchanged by email.
Integrated within your email application, it automatically encrypts
and decrypts the messages you exchange. Email access is reserved
exclusively to authorised and identified recipients. ZedMail is
easy to use in your regular exchanges with colleagues, clients and
partners.
End-to-end encryption
Users send their emails as usual,
and the body of the message and any email attachments are
automatically and transparently encrypted.
Upon reception, the emails are decrypted locally and the original
message is reconstituted.
Integrated in the enterprise messaging
application
ZedMail is compatible with the
push-mail features of enterprise messaging systems: the messages
that are received encrypted on the user's mobile terminal will be
decrypted locally.
Secure exchanges with partners
In order to exchange
encrypted messages with correspondents outside the company, Prim'X
proposes its "Zed! Limited Edition" freeware.
With this it is possible to read encrypted messages and
attachments whatever the messaging system of the addressee, and for
the latter to send an encrypted reply if
required.
Data compression
ZedMail offers a
data compression functionality for reducing the total size of the
encrypted message (message and
attachments).
Encryption by certificate
To encrypt
emails, ZedMail uses the certificates of the addressees which it
looks up automatically in the usual enterprise directories (AD,
LDAP) and in the user's personal certificate
stores.
Encryption with password
When
the addressee of the email does not have a certificate, ZedMail
automatically generates a password for this correspondent and saves
it in a password file that it manages for the
user.
Recovery
A recovery plan may be
configured by the company. It will be automatically and
systematically applied by ZedMail so as to enable recovery of the
sent and received messages by a Security
Officer.
Easy deployment and administration
The installation of
ZedMail on workstations is compatible with the administered
installation tools (SMS et al.).
The security policy applicable to the messaging system is defined
by the Security Officer using Windows Security Strategies
(Policies).
High-performance, proven technology
The ZedMail
solution has been developed on the basis of the Zed! encrypted
containers technology that has already enjoyed successful
widespread deployment by
Prim'X.
Complementarity with infrastructure
protection
ZedMail can
function standalone or in conjunction with all Prim'X encryption
software in order to provide complete data protection for the
enterprise
infrastructure.
