PCI DSS

Open Seas does not hold credit card details in any format, electronic or physical. We accept card payments via a secure virtual terminal operated by a secure third party. We maintain an annual audit for continuing PCI DSS compliance with our credit card merchant account provider.

GDPR - Data Retention, Right to Know, Right to be Forgotten

Open Seas uses three electronic systems to hold customer related information: a CRM for sales and marketing, a Service Management system for support & helpdesk and a financial accounting system. We also make use of paper files. We retain data for seven years from last use as this is the HMRC requirement for financial information. We apply the same principal to the CRM and Service Management system as customers commonly return having lapsed for a number of years. If we have had no contact with a lapsed customer for 7 years then we will automatically purge all records related to them after seven years. If you would like to know what data Open Seas holds regarding you or would like to request we remove your data sooner please contact datacontroller@openseas.co.uk.

GDPR - Data Protection

Reasonable IT and physical security along with related procedures are employed to protect data Open Seas holds both electronically and physically.

If you have any comment on, or have questions, concerning our privacy policy, have a concern or policy violation you wish to report, or wish to change or delete the customer information you submitted to Open Seas, please contact us using any of the methods on our contact page.
